Job Description
- Design, execute, and automate software update validation test plans for HPE Alletra Object and File Storage solutions.
- Validate storage cluster upgrades involving storage software, Kubernetes platform updates, firmware, operating systems, and infrastructure components.
- Test update scenarios across all cluster elements, including storage nodes, JBOFs, switches, and management services.
- Execute functional, resiliency, failover, recovery, interoperability, scalability, and regression testing before, during, and after software updates.
- Verify cluster health, data integrity, service availability, and operational stability throughout update workflows.
- Develop customer-representative upgrade, rollback, and disaster recovery test scenarios, including mixed-version and long-lived production-like environments.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across storage, Kubernetes, Linux, and networking layers.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks, test tools, and validation infrastructure using Python and modern testing technologies.
- Partner closely with development, architecture, quality engineering, and support teams to identify and resolve software update issues.
- Analyze test results and provide clear root-cause analysis and release readiness recommendations.
