Specialist DevOps Engineer

Kubernetes & Container Platform

• Deploy, operate, and maintain Kubernetes workloads on Redhat Openshift and AKS in production and test environments.
• Work within established cluster standards — applying RBAC policies, namespace conventions, and workload placement guidelines set by the team.
• Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and work with the Kubernetes tooling ecosystem: Helm, Kustomize, ingress controllers, and service mesh.
• Follow and help maintain container image standards: base-image usage, vulnerability scanning, and registry hygiene.

CI/CD, IaC, & Cloud Platform

• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines to support consistent and reliable software delivery.
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, following shared module patterns and team standards.
• Support Azure platform operations including networking, IAM, and Azure-native services within defined team practices.

Observability, Reliability, & Security

• Instrument monitoring services using the team's observability stack (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting); respond to and investigate incidents.
• Contribute to post-mortems and help implement follow-up improvements to increase system reliability.
• Apply security practices across day-to-day work: secrets management, network policies, and policy enforcement tooling.

Collaboration & Team Contribution

• Work closely with fellow engineers and principal-level team members, proactively communicating progress, surfacing blockers, and contributing to shared solutions.
• Maintain and improve team documentation, runbooks, and operational guides to support consistent practices.
• Participate in code and infrastructure reviews, providing constructive feedback and applying guidance received

What will help you thrive in this role?

• BTech/MTech/MCA
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Solid Kubernetes experience in production environments; familiarity with Redhat Openshift or AKS.
• Working proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code and ArgoCD for GitOps-based deployments.
• Practical experience with Azure services: networking, identity, and cloud-native tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms and the software delivery lifecycle.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and security fundamentals.
• Clear communicator who works well in a team environment and takes direction effectively.
• Experience migrating workloads to Kubernetes or working with on-premises Kubernetes deployments.
• Familiarity with containerization strategies and best practices for legacy application modernization.
• AWS experience or exposure to multi-cloud environments.
  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA or CKAD).
