Application Engineer: AI

• Build technical credibility with customers by leveraging relevant industry experience and serve as a primary technical advisor to selected Industrial Automation & Machinery and Energy Production customers for deep technical engagements.
• Lead engagements in predictive maintenance, Embedded AI, digital twins, condition monitoring, industrial analytics, and application deployment by presenting MathWorks tools, capabilities, and vision; defining technical proof-of-concept projects; and driving them forward.
• Work closely with sales and other customer-facing teams to provide technical guidance for successful adoption and expanded use of MathWorks products.
• Advocate for the future direction of MathWorks products based on customer and industry interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

• Working knowledge of AI and engineering workflows for industrial engineering applications such as condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, fault detection and diagnosis, Digital Twins, or embedded systems
• Experience with developing engineering algorithms, models, or applications using MATLAB and/or Simulink.
• Experience with programming in Python and/or C/C++ is a plus.
• Experience with Agentic AI or AI-assisted engineering workflows is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
