Job Description
- Help build, maintain and operate CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and/or Jenkins to automate builds, tests and releases.
- Containerize applications and services using Docker and support deployment patterns for Kubernetes (Helm charts, manifests).
- Assist with environment provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management.
- Manage artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory) and coordinate with development on dependency and release management.
- Support cloud & on-prem env (AWS, Azure) and follow operational runbooks.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting (Splunk, Grafana); help triage incidents and collect diagnostic data.
- Work with developers to improve build times and resolve environment defects.
- Participate in on-call rotation and assist in incident response, root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to documentation for deployment processes, runbooks & configurations.
- Follow Agile practices and participate in sprint ceremonies, stand-ups collaboration.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4–6 years practical experience in DevOps, build/release engineering.
- Hands-on with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting (Bash); familiarity with Python or another scripting language a plus.
- Experience with Git and CI systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and basic pipeline authoring.
- Working knowledge of Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts (pods, services).
- Familiarity with build tools (Maven) and artifact repositories (Nexus).
- Basic understanding of networking, load balancing & security for deployment.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Splunk, Prometheus or Grafana.
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment with strong communication skills.
- Team player to participate in on-call rotations and support production environments.
What would be great to have:
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and cloud-native services.
- Familiarity with Helm, Operators or GitOps patterns (ArgoCD/Flux).
- Basic familiarity with Java/Spring and Angular to collaborate with the app team.
- Understanding of security scanning, SCA and automated compliance checks.
AI-enabled skills:
- Familiarity with developer AI assistants (GitHub Copilot or equivalent) to speed routine scripting and documentation while verifying outputs before use.
- Use AI tools to generate pipeline templates and draft runbook content responsibly.
