Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain BigQuery tables, views, functions, and stored procedures using BigQuery SQL and ANSI SQL.
- Design and implement scalable data models and data objects to support reporting, analytics, and business requirements.
- Apply data modeling best practices to ensure data quality, governance, performance, and usability across analytics and reporting solutions, including Looker where applicable.
- Own SQL deployment manifests (YAML-driven) and multi-environment/multi-locale rollout logic, ensuring safe and reliable deployments through GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives, security requirements, and data governance standards.
- Use Git for SQL, LookML, and YAML code management, reviews, and deployments.
- Contribute to AI-enabled initiatives that improve engineering productivity, data quality, automation, and development workflows.
- Identify and implement improvements across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to reporting and analytics layers.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design discussions, and mentoring of team members.
- Drive scalability, reliability, performance, and security improvements across data platforms.
- Lead complex initiatives and coordinate delivery across multiple stakeholders and teams.
