AI Engineer

The Cooperative Finance Association has built a self-hosted intelligence platform for

document extraction, retrieval, and reporting. In this role, you will support active

development across a small portfolio: a unified intelligence platform (FastAPI

microservices, PostgreSQL, Redis), a layout-aware document extraction engine

comprised of a multi-tenant assistant platform running local models.

• Build and harden Python services — FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy/Alembic,

packaged with Poetry and Docker

• Extend document processing: OCR, layout analysis, structured field extraction,

confidence modelling and predictive matching

• Wire local-model workloads, embeddings and vector search — without

introducing metered APIs

• Integrate Azure services: Key Vault, Blob Storage, Entra ID, Microsoft Graph,

Fabric, Databricks (Datalake)

• Improve test coverage, CI gates, and release discipline across multiple private

repositories
