Job Description
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications across legacy and cloud-native environments.
- Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and solution definition.
- Develop robust backend services using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Build responsive user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.
- Implement event-driven and distributed systems leveraging Kafka and Amazon MSK.
- Develop and support serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and related AWS services.
- Design and implement AWS-based cloud solutions following security and scalability best practices.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
- Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Harness, and containerisation technologies.
- Support Docker-based application deployments and cloud-native application delivery.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve deployment efficiency and operational excellence.
Production Support & Operational Excellence
- Provide L3 production support for mission-critical applications.
- Lead resolution of complex incidents, problem investigations, and major production outages.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Support release planning, deployment validation, and post-release monitoring activities.
- Drive technical debt reduction, application modernisation, and platform stability improvements.
- Utilise Datadog for monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, and proactive issue detection.
Database & Performance Engineering
- Manage and optimise Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- Analyse application performance bottlenecks and recommend optimisation strategies.
- Perform query tuning, database performance analysis, and capacity planning.
- Ensure applications meet reliability, scalability, and performance requirements.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across development and support teams.
- Mentor engineers on coding standards, architectural principles, and engineering best practices.
- Lead code reviews and promote GitHub-based collaborative development practices.
- Drive adoption of DevOps, cloud-native, and modern engineering methodologies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to achieve project objectives.
