Java Developer

* 4+ years of commercial back-end development experience

* Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+, with Java 17 exposure preferred

* Deep expertise with Spring Boot, microservices, and event-driven distributed architectures

* Solid experience designing and building RESTful APIs

* Working knowledge of Docker and container-based deployment

* Practical experience with AWS, including Lambda, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, and KMS

* Hands-on experience with MySQL — schema design, query tuning, and performance optimisation

* Experience with observability tooling — metrics, logging, distributed tracing (e.g. Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch)

* Strong grounding in unit testing with JUnit and Mockito, with a quality-first mindset

* Familiarity with resiliency patterns (Resilience4j, circuit breakers, bulkheads)

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
