Manager Data Architecture, Analytics and Governance

    You administrate the backend data foundation for Celonis end-to-end: data extraction, pipelines, and data modeling—built for scale, quality, and reuse.
•    You act as the key interface between Celonis and the Databricks Lakehouse: you translate business questions into standardized data product requirements, model them in Databricks, and enable seamless consumption in Celonis.
•    You manage and continuously improve data products in the central Databricks Data Lakehouse (lifecycle, performance, reliability, documentation).
•    You challenge requirements, spot gaps early, and drive the necessary transfer from “request” to “standard”- no 1:1 implementations, but thoughtful solution design.
•    You embed governance and standards by default, proactively questioning any custom logic and ensuring maintainable, auditable outcomes.

Your Profile
•    You have successfully completed your studies in (Business) Computer Science, (Business) Informatics, or similar.
•    You bring hands-on experience in data product architecture and the end-to-end creation of data products (reusable data models, clear data contracts/interfaces, quality-by-design).
•    You have a strong engineering skill set in modern Lakehouse / Big Data technologies, e.g.:
o    Spark SQL and scalable data modeling
o    Big Data management (performance, partitioning, reliability)
o    Delta Sharing
o    Batch processing and streaming pipeline design
•    You have hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Celonis, DBT and Git and use these tools confidently in a production environment.
•    You combine strong technical depth with business understanding and can prioritize impact over complexity.
•    You communicate confidently in English, especially when discussing detailed logic, aligning stakeholders, and closing briefing gaps with your own expertise.
